Ellen DeGeneres might officially be the world's best musical muse.

After hearing Adele's Hello you might've wondered to yourself, well first, where are the Kleenex? And then, second, how did she come up with that song?!?

Apparently, Ellen is the inspo behind a number of hits as the video above shows. As she explained to her audience:

"Adele and I are good friends, and a lot of people don't realize her new song is based on a conversation that we had."
