With the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at midpoint, our common future is in peril. For the first time in decades, development progress is reversing under the combined impacts of climate disasters, conflict, economic downtown and lingering COVID-19 effects. More people are poor. Inequalities have widened. Gender equality is going backwards. More people are being denied healthcare and education. The United Nations and its partners are working together to find solutions to these global challenges towards the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
