Bar of the Month for March 2023! Special price is valid for online orders only
Endemic lemurs, majestic baobabs, pristine rainforests, vast deserts, almost 5,000 km of coastline bordering the Indian Ocean: Madagascar is home to an extraordinary rich biodiversity. Only 0.1% of world cacao production comes from Madagascar. Located in the Sambirano Valley, in northwestern Madagascar, the beans for this bar come from a single plantation managed by Bertil Åkesson which extends over some 2000 hectares and offers some of the best quality cacao in all of Madagascar.
This expressive chocolate bar offers bright aromas of red fruit, sweet tartness and subtle citrus notes. Some of you may have tried our 70% Madagascar from last year which won a Bronze Award at the 2021 Academy of Chocolate Awards. This bar is made with beans from the same region and will debut in November 2021. Similar in taste, only brighter fruitier and even better quality beans.
