To call Meghan Markle a style influencer is a bit of an understatement; from her effortlessly fashionable clothes and fresh-faced beauty look to her covetable shoe collection, fans have been vying to add a little of the Duchess of Sussex's look to their own closets since long before she and Prince Harry tied the knot in 2018. But no part of her style makes our sparkle-loving hearts race more than her timelessly beautiful baubles and gems—both from her personal jewelry box as well as the pieces she's inherited from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
Recently, Meghan added one more piece to our wishlist, when she appeared in a video shared by Smart Works—the Duchess's patronage, which works to provide underprivileged women with clothing for job interviews and helps prepare them for the job market—wearing a long pendant necklace featuring a gem-studded evil eye symbol. Since Meghan is often wont to mix accessible options into her wardrobe, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised that this dainty necklace also comes at an approachable price.
The piece, inlaid with blue and white topaz, comes from Edge of Ember, which, like many of the brands Meghan favors, commits to an ethical and sustainable ethos in making its jewelry. And because being a duchess doesn't exempt her from the current chaos of the COVID-19 outbreak, it also features an evil eye "to protect its wearer from negative vibes," according to the brand's website—something we could all probably use a little of right now. Best of all, the necklace (which is available on either a 19" or 21" chain is currently selling for $175, so even if you're not quite ready to add a tiara to your rotation, you can still snag a little bit of Meghan's signature style.
