As the world prepares for the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony and Games, a slew of prominent film music, sports, fashion figures and more gathered in style to kick off the historical event.
Held at the Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton on July 25, the event, Prelude to the Olympics, was attended by TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and Willie Geist, as well as Snoop Dogg, who joined NBC coverage of the upcoming Games, Zendaya, Jeremy Allen White, Serena Williams and many more.
Hoda wore an elegant black gown to the event, while Snoop glowed in a gold suit.
According to Vogue, the celebration was hosted by the magazine as well as the luxury goods company LVMH — which is a major sponsor of the Paris Olympics — and chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault. Other co-hosts were Comcast NBCUniversal chairman and CEO Brian Roberts, Louis Vuitton men’s creative director and musician Pharrell Williams, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Before entering the Prelude to the Olympics, “The Bear” star shares some kind words for the Olympians.
“You guys have dedicated your life to this thing,” White told TODAY. “Everything’s gonna work out. You’re all gold in my book.”
TODAY also caught up with Alex Cooper, who said she was “overjoyed” to meet Hoda and Jenna Bush Hager when she stopped by Studio 1A on July 8.
"I am the biggest fan. And so even being in the same room with those ladies, I was, like, 'I'm just happy to sit here and stare at both of you,'" she recalled. "So that was the best part."
The “Call Her Daddy” podcast host will be covering the Paris Olympics for NBC Sports.
Most of the attendees were dressed to the nines in Louis Vuitton, while others opted for other couture creations like Rosalía in Christian Dior and Sophia Bush in Christian Siriano.
Zendaya was spotted in a chic black spaghetti strapped black, long dress as she made her way inside the event.
"Law & Order" star Chris Meloni was also caught by our TODAY team, wearing a checkered black-and-white suit jacket and white pants.
