Hoda tells Jenna she's going to do this secret signal for her at Olympics opening ceremony: 'Look for this!'

Hoda Kotb joked her new secret signal is perfect because it's more "subtle" than the one she did last year at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Hoda Kotb has revealed her new secret signal for Jenna Bush Hager ahead of the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics.

On the previously recorded episode of TODAY with Hoda & Jenna that aired July 26, Hoda shared what she's going to do when she's seen on camera during the opening ceremony later in the day.

The TODAY anchor is set to cover the event with Savannah Guthrie and the duo will both have a view of the ceremony from a bridge along the River Seine.

Since Jenna won't be there, she asked Hoda to do a little gesture for her on camera to show her that she's thinking of her.

While brainstorming ideas, the duo agreed not to use the same signal that Hoda used last year when she co-hosted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. At that event, Hoda decided to pretend like she was wiping lipstick off her teeth by bringing her hand to her mouth.

Although it was a sweet moment, Hoda and Jenna agreed that signal might be too "obvious" for the Paris Olympics opening ceremony, so Hoda suggested something more "subtle," like her popping her collar on camera.

"OK, great," Jenna said with a laugh.

"I'm going to do it. So look for this!" Hoda said before popping her collar again. "OK, look for that. That's me! I've got you covered."

"OK, I cannot wait," Jenna shared.

The "Sisters First" author explained that she missed Hoda's signal last year because she paused the parade on TV to make a Libby's pumpkin pie recipe. She said she didn't find out that Hoda gestured to her on camera until many people called her telling her about the moment.

"I got a million phone calls that you had done (that)," she said.

However, Jenna said she won't miss her co-host's gesture at the Olympics.

"Oh my gosh, I can't wait," she told Hoda. "Don't forget about me!"

"I won't forget," Hoda replied.

The Paris Olympics opening ceremony is set to start July 26 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The event will be hosted by NFL legend Peyton Manning, Kelly Clarkson and NBC Olympics prime-time host Mike Tirico. Fans can tune in to NBC, Peacock and the NBC and NBC Olympic apps to watch.
