Good News For Pickleball Lovers As New Indoor Facility Comes To Jackson Township

A new indoor pickleball facility, named Dink Shots has come to the Jackson Township. The opening of the facility was scheduled to take place on Saturday (February 1). The facility has 4 pickleball courts, a lounge and a pro shop. The fans can take Dink Shots membership to get discounts.

"There are so many people that play pickleball. Its popularity is growing every day. I feel we are doing things differently than other places," Oliveri said. "A lot of facilities charge different rates at different times of the day so players pay more during the peak time, but I am going to change a flat rate," Mike Oliveri, the owner of Dink Shots, said.

"Children up to seniors love to play this sport and here in Ohio summers can be brutal and then there is the winter weather. Whether it's hot, it's raining or the humidity is high, it will always be a nice 70 to 72 degrees in Dink Shots."

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the US and the Dink Shots has become the latest facility in the country. Pickleball's soaring popularity has seen it create an economic impact and the number of pickleball courts is on the rise.

Another pickleball facility named Picklr opened on Saturday. Former professional footballer, Mark Tauscher was in attendance during its opening. Many celebrities have tried their hand at the sport and pickleball can soon become the most-followed racquet sport in the US. There are more than 13,000 pickleball courts in the US.
