Creepiest character I’ve ever seen in a movie, and I’ve seen Deliverance and the Exorcist.

Popeye and Pals

I was on sometime in the late 80s. My aunt worked at the station and I got on. I won the game as well but never did go get my free cake.

Who owned WGN during that time?

Tribune broadcasting, who also owned…

WGNO and quite a few other stations around the country.

EDIT: just read the whole thread and someone beat me to the punch.

Is that the game where they tossed the ping pong ball in the buckets?

I was sure I would dominate that when I was a kid.

One time I was watching and a special kid got called up to play, he didn't u derstand the rules and was walking up and dropping the balls in the bucket. They let him for like the first three then shut him down. It was sad.

I got two stories about the Bozo show. I learned about credit from that show. I used to watch that shite all the time and the only episode I ever remembered is when Cookie came around with new stuff he bought and he told Bozo that he got this card and all he has to do is give it to the person checking him out and they give him whatever he wants. And Bozo explained to him it didn't work that way because he will have to pay for it but since you are boring money to pay for it, they will charge you like a loan at the bank (im paraphrasing of course).

Second story. I remember when I was like in 1st, 2nd grade.. Might have been kindergarten, I really don't know, I just remember this black kid in my class told the class he went on the bozo show the day before after school.

He said he made all the balls in the bucket but they are not going to show it on TV. I got in trouble, which is why I remember it, but I am not sure why. I know I didn't believe him and everyone else did and I probably told him something that the teacher heard..
