This is the first book that profiles BSC charter member Dawn in her new life in California. Baby-sitters Club #72. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I ordered a copy of this book and it was pricey. I thought It would be worth it. But, it was not a very good book even though it’s dawns first California book. The we ❤️ Kids club has a article in the local newspaper and their club goes wild! Then they even have a tv appearance! But then Dawn does something horrible. Now it feels like her parents have turned against her! Well, happy reading, hard critic.
Cool!

Dawn is finally joining the We Love Kids Club. It has an appointment book and a record book. But The We Love Kids Club don't have any officers unlike the BSC.
Don't Run Away from your Problems in life, Dawn!

This book was OK, and I liked hearing about the We Love Kids Club for a change, but I thought it was extremely babyish of Dawn to run away to Conneticut (where her mom lives) on a plane without telling anyone just because she was frusturated that her dad was getting married to a woman that she didn't like. I think she should have talked to her dad about what she was feeling instead of running away. And I also think she should have taken the time to find out more about Carol, whom her father was engaged to.

I think this book is a great book, although the title doesn't go with the main plot of the story.Dawn's dad has just got engaged to Carol, Dawn's soon-to-be mother. She and her brother, Jeff do not like Carol because she tries to act cool. Dawn plans to secretly go to Stoneybrook to see her mom and stepsister, Mary Anne. Will her plan work? to find out read the book! Enjoy!
GET YOUR DART THROWING ARMS READY TO THROW DARTS AT DAWN!

Get your dart throwing arms, ready to throw some sharp darts at Dawn. She is a crybaby and a snotty brat to boot. I don't like the way Kristy jumps on the crybaby train by bellyaching about not having fame and TV coverage like the BSC's West Coast counterpart. Kristy, for all her bravado is a big crybaby too. I don't like Dawn. I think she is sneaky and self centered. Stealing her dad's credit card and booking a cross country flight was just too cowardly and irresponsible for words. I was glad she got put on the next plane back to California and was made to pay for the two plane tickets. Serves her right. I think she'd make a good bull's eye in the dart board.
AN INTERESTING GLIMPSE OF SUNNY
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
I liked this book because it gave a good overview of the California characters. I like Sunny because she is a well thought out and plausible character. Jill was just too babyish for words and was barely out of the carriage. She needed a sitter! I didn't care for Dawn who always seemed like a bigmouth and a potential bully. Sunny was an interesting and well created character.
