The cons are far out weighed by the pros of this cheap of a Virtual acoustic kit!
The hi hats are terrible even after set up and I’ve researched to the max how to ‘fix’ the problem of the opening and closing, not triggering correctly. Also the inability to use millenniums own ‘pro’ hi hat stand as the rod is too large for the tiny mount inside the hi hat clutch mechanism, both these problems could and should be rectified by Millenium as this is the only major issue with this kit. Everything else can be adjusted and tweaked to make this kit easy to play and a joy to play through a VST.
It is easy to see that to upgrade this kit with some better hi hats (lemon etc) and any extras you may need (I bought a 12” x 6” Tom and an extra cymbal) will not cost the earth compared to the bigger named brands (Roland, Gewa, Effnote, Zildjian, etc).
It is easily expandable with the correct patch cables also, I have connected some older cymbal pads by using the ‘rim’ function of the other toms to have an extra three inputs (YouTube, how to use splitters for my edrums).
I have used Roland, Yamaha and Alesis kits a lot, and this for the price does what I need it to for less than half the price of its competition.
I hope this helps👍
