Cygnet G&T gains Tesco listing
Cygnet Gin, co-founded by Katherine Jenkins, has secured a listing for its Welsh Dry Gin & Tonic at 55 Tesco stores across Wales.
The recent regional listing with Tesco represents a ‘strategic step’ in Cygnet’s retail expansion, expanding the reach of the Welsh spirit to a wider audience.
Released earlier this year, the product combines Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin with tonic in a 250ml can at 7% ABV. Each 100ml serve contains 22 calories.
Crafted with a blend of 12 botanicals and Welsh water, the ready-to-drink product is best enjoyed over ice or straight from the can.
Also available on the brand’s website, a pack of 12 cans retails for £42 (US$55).
Founded by classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE and artist Andrew Levitas, Cygnet gins are crafted by sixth-generation distillers using a vapour infusion process that results in a smooth juniper and citrus-forward flavour profile.
The gin brand also offers Cygnet 22, which sits at a higher ABV of 44%. Made with 22 botanicals, the recipe incorporates Manuka honey, chosen by Jenkins. Additional botanicals include white peppercorns, bee pollen and sea salt.
Founded in March 2023, the brand has won a number of awards including a Master medal for Cygnet 22 at this year’s Luxury Masters and a Gold medal at the 2024 Gin Masters – First Tasting.
This year alone, the brand has partnered with multiple renowned bars and restaurants in the UK, including Gaucho, Lavo and Sexy Fish.
Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin is also on the shelves of more than 200 Marks & Spencer stores in the UK.
