It literally already got a 4k scan. I was just wondering if they still had the footage, as sources indicate it's in the original trailer, while another worker on the set said they trashed it all. Another individual claimed they saw it while at a workshop.

I have my doubts as to whether there was more to it than what we see. I remember on IMDB (when they had a forum section) that someone brought up a conversation with one of the F/X artists, and they said that the original plan was "you seeing her stomach bloat with maggot jizz, and then explode like Alien... that they even had the prop for it." But I am guessing that the director knew the censors would never go for it, so nixed the scene before it was developed further. You add that to Taaffe O'Connell complaining about the cold, her covered in KY jelly and her refusal to lay on her back while covered in goo when her body was discovered (as she would never do full frontal), and I don't see how there could be any more to the scene than what we see.

Now the "Angel chainsaw death scene" in Scarface is another story...

PS: I just watched the "Red Band" trailer, and there might be slightly more material (I am frankly surprised they damn near showed the entire "maggot rape" scene.. in the trailer?!), such as when her body raises up and you see her buttocks clench... so who knows? Maybe there are a few extra seconds of naked gooeyness, but I doubt there was anything significant such as the "belly bomb" that was planned.

I've also noticed after scrutinizing the scene that there aren't any tentacles or tendrils that could be penetrating her.. nothing near or in her mouth, nor any tentacles/tendrils between her legs to even indicate rape. Frankly, I'm surprised they didn't hire a porn actress instead of Taaffe, ie someone who knew what they were in for and was willing to go all the way with what they intended.
