Church hosts panel discussion on poverty Thursday

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Social Justice Committee of St. Ludmila is sponsoring a special presentation on poverty from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, 211 21st Ave. SW.
The focus, “Overcoming Poverty in Our Community: From Hardship to Hope” will feature a panel of representatives from Cedar Rapids City Council, Matthew 25, St. Vincent de Paul, Metro High School, and Willis Dady Homeless Services. There is no cost to attend and no advance registration needed. All are invited to join this important discussion.
