Tom Jones in concert at Mohegan Sun

    Tom Jones is out touring.

And we know what you’re wondering: Touring? Wait. How old IS Tom Jones?

He’s 84, and, yes, he’s had hip replacements in recent years. (Maybe from all that hip swiveling back in the day?)

But apparently you don’t have to worry about his singing. Jones told the Mirror earlier this year, "Well, thank God my voice is still working. I am 83 years old. I mean I can't believe it, but it is true. When I am singing, I am like, 'How the hell is this coming out of me?' Honestly.”

We believe him because his voice has always been melodramatically superhuman. (Just check out bits of his singing as a judge on the still-running UK version of “The Voice.”)

Jones brings his Ages & Stages Tour to Mohegan Sun on Thursday. It’s bound to feature his hits like “It’s Not Unusual” and “Delilah” and his popular covers of Prince’s “Kiss” and Joe Cocker’s “You Can Leave Your Hat On.” He can’t tour forever, though it might seem like it, so see him while you can.

Tom Jones, 7 p.m. Thursday, Mohegan Sun Arena; $70 and up; mohegansun.com.
