Shagi and Ully, a couple who have been together for 12 years and living in Beijing for even longer, are experts in the Beijing food scene. 

They previously shared their 12 Favorite Date Spots in Beijing with us, and now they're back to share some of the more unique and fun places in Beijing they would recommend for a date!

Mesa Madre 

Mesa Madre is a cute lil spot in south CBD focusing on Filipino food with great service and ambiance.  We recommend the Bicol Express - very flavorful. Oh and their sourdough bread, which in our opinion is the best one we've had in Beijing.

Chaoyang Park North. Jungle & Stream

If you're looking for a tranquil escape in the city, we traversed a less frequented area of the park that’s a bit more wild. It's quiet with cool streams (go ahead and dip your toes in, it’s cool) and perfect to just take a breather away from our chaotic city-life and have a moment to just be. Also, that eden is sponsored by the LEO Club association.

Larry the Bird

With the slogan, "“Better Chicken, Better Times", Larry the Bird is a fast casual space focusing on amazing and affordable rotisserie chicken, burgers, and more, with a solid selection of beers and cocktails. Chill outside on their terrace on a cool afternoon and talk away the hours with friends. Also enjoy great nostalgic hiphop & funk on the soundtrack to enhance the vibe.

White Tiger Village

This elevated Yunnanese fusion restaurant is nice for a vibey date night. Great food and decor. They have a walk-in wine fridge where you just choose your bottles - pretty cool!

Hide and Seek

A new bar/lounge near the crib in Lido was just opened by a friend of ours. Beautifully designed space on the lake with great selections of wines, cocktails and some amazing elevated Chinese tapas. It’s just a beautiful date spot.
