ROBERT RUSSELL,who was blinded in an accident at the age of six, received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Yale and a B.Litt. from Oxford, which he attended on a scholarship. An associate professor of English at Franklin and Marshall College, he is currently spending his sabbatical in England, where he is engaged in writing.
