Helen Keller

Helen Keller was a deafblind author and activist best known for her 1902 autobiography, The Story of My Life. She was involved with the suffrage and labor-rights movements and an advocate for individuals with disabilities. Keller wrote speeches and essays on topics such as socialism and religion, and in 1964 she received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
