A NEW item combining frozen fruit with a fan favorite chocolate has officially hit wholesaler shelves.

Costco is selling Reese's Frozen Fruit Banana Slices in bulk but not all shoppers are in a rush to buy them.

The Instagram account (@costcobuys) is dedicated to sharing the latest drops and hottest finds at the wholesale retailer.

Unaffiliated with Costco, the Michigan based account recently posted a video of the Reese's Frozen Fruit Banana Slices.

While Walmart sells the chocolatey treat, it's only available in an eight ounce bag as opposed to Costco's 20 ounce bag.

Costco is charging $9.99 for the large bag, meanwhile Walmart's smaller bag costs $6.97.

A MIXED BAG

Though the original poster's enthusiasm for the new viral treat was reflected in some comments, other shoppers just couldn't get on the same page.

The caption on the post reads, "These sliced bananas are enrobed in milk chocolate and Reese’s peanut butter chips…they are AMAZING!"

But not everyone is heading back to Costco for more.

One commenter wrote, "I’m sorry but if you said these taste good, I question your palate lol, these were trash."

The user added, "I waited so long for the Costco here to get them. It basically tasted like chocolate covered freezer burned bananas lol, I’m hoping it was just a bad batch."

Meanwhile, other commenters were fawning over the frozen treat, with one user writing, "These are SO GOOD!"

But others just can't seem to get past the way the fruit naturally thaws.

One user claimed the banana tasted sour them because it wasn't ripe enough when originally frozen.

"Bananas just aren’t the best fruit when frozen," one user wrote. "These were not great."

"I can't get over the texture of the frozen banana part. Otherwise good," another poster wrote.

FURTHER CHOCOLATEY FINDS

Last week Taco Bell announced it's teaming up with Salt & Straw, a west coast ice cream business, to bring Chaco Tacos back to store shelves.

This comes after fans felt abandoned following the discontinuation of Klondike's Choco Tacos last year after a 40 year run on the market.

The icy treat is enveloped in a waffle cone with cinnamon ancho ice cream, candied pecans, dark chocolate, and sea salt.

And Taco Bell is putting a spin on them, offering tangy cheesecake dip, plus packets of Chocolate Chili, Cinnamon Wild Berry, and Mango Jalapeño sauce.

The chocolatey treats are also getting mixed reviews from longtime fans, but they haven't hit stores yet.

The Taco Bell x Salt & Straw Ice Cream Chocolate Tacos can be found in restaurants across the US this summer.

A Costco shopper shared that she was recently "kicked out" of a store for taking too many samples.

Plus, the Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is hitting Taco Bell menus this month.
