I am planning for a stage 1 remap of my jimny alpha AT but totally confused about airfilter change(was planning BMC replacement filter). There are many reviews says its not needed and also it permits more dirt into engine eventhough BMC claims better filtration!!

4H is ok. Since we don’t use 4L frequently should not be a problem for me.

In the winding mountain roads it did an excellent job. Taking curves was not at all an issue. I was very apprehensive about this coming from a compass which was very good at this. Felt the lack of power uphill anyway. But was not very bothersome
Loved this story! I just ordered my Alpha AT in red and I cant wait to explore it and different places. I have big plans. But I saw your red mud flaps. Could you tell me where I can get them? Been looking at UK sites, Amazon.co.jp. But nothing really concrete available online. Any info would be of great help!

If you are interested in these Red mud flaps then call Jaspreet owner of Harman Impex, Mumbai on 9821010164.
He is selling various products only for Jimny. The set of 4 red mud flaps costed me Rs 3600+250 for courier. They are of good quality. You will have to paste Jimny stickers yourself which will come in the package.
Once you buy from him, he will add you in his group & will be sending updates on new accessories almost every day. However dont get carried away by seeingMade in Japan mentioned against each item. Actually all are from China

I have been using this for over a year now with my AT and have not had problems with 4L. Was recently on an OTR on a river bed which needed frequent 4L engagement which was not at all a problem.

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

Maruti issues service bulletin for Jimny steering vibration issue.

Company is replacing key brake components as part of this service bulletin to rectify this problem.

- Steering vibration issue faced between 60kph and 80kph.
- Brake components being replaced free of cost by Maruti.
- Replacement done only for Jimny with stock tyres.

Apart from the King Pin assembly, Maruti is also replacing front brake disc on affected units.

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

I am surprised to see so many new Jimnys on the road here in Bengaluru. Looking forward to travel with fellow BHPians here.

Strange. Again I tried to engage 4L but it would snap back into 4H as soon as I remove my hand from the level. My model is IMP185 and yours is WA107. Not sure what changes but I am not able to engage 4L.
Query - How have you placed it ? I lifted the rubber cover of the lever and placed the extended edge of the console beneath it so that it stays in place. Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

An interesting mod of Jimny in Simlipal national park to ferry tourists during jungle safari. Mods include removing metal roof and rear seat, making way for tarpauline canopy and an additional seat at back. Front metal gaurd is also provided.

Question - when you try to engage 4L is the stalk hitting the holder?

If yes, it might be the cause of this bounce back, but if no, then looks like you are not engaging it properly.

Yes just checked, the base of the stalk along with the rubber cover is touching the holder when trying to engage 4L. Thats the reason.

I am planning to buy the Jimny in the coming days. So, I wanted to align the tyre availability and the stock tyre exchange offering beforehand.
