The United States will have 592 athletes competing in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Which state will have the most athletes?

It’s probably not a surprise that California, the most populated state in the country, leads the way. More than 20 percent of the U.S. team is made up of athletes who call The Golden State their home.

Coming in second is Florida, followed by Texas, Illinois and Pennsylvania.

Where does New York rank? Seventh overall, with 22 U.S. athletes who list their hometowns in the Empire State.
