St. Louis Fashion Fund marks the next chapter in its history today with the announcement of a new leader at the helm.
Becky Domyan, a local sales executive and fashion Instagrammer, has been named executive director effectively immediately. Domyan, who serves as senior vice president, market manager, for Audacy, Inc., St. Louis and Wichita, will maintain her position at the company, as well as take on her new responsibilities at the St. Louis-based non-profit.
“Although I’ve been a media executive for 17 plus years, as early as I can remember, I’ve had two passions in life–leadership and fashion,” says Domyan, a native of St. Louis, via a press release from the Fund. “While leadership is the core of my purpose at work and in the community, fashion has been, and is, my creative outlet.”
In addition to her work at Audacy, Domyan was in sales for 12 years at Ennis Communications and in management for four at Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. Domyan shares her passion for the fashion space via an Instagram account.
According to the Fund's co-founder Susan Sherman, the regional fashion ecosystem generates $7.7 billion annually, and Domyan's appointment will seek to build on that foundation.
“Becky’s commitment and enthusiastic support of the fashion community and her demonstrated history of work in the media industry is a powerful combination that will serve Saint Louis Fashion Fund on so many levels,” says Sherman, who will retain her role as chair of the board.
The St. Louis Fashion Fund was founded in 2014 with the mission to support emerging design talent, as well as fashion education and outreach in the area.
