A vehicle fatally struck a 78-year-old woman Sunday evening in Brooklyn Park, police said.
The woman was struck at 6:07 p.m. at the intersection of W. Broadway and Candlewood Drive and died at the scene, police said.
She was identified Tuesday as Cuc Thi Tran of Chatsworth, Calif., according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. She died of blunt-force injuries, the office said.
Tran was in a crosswalk crossing from the west side of the street to the east when she was struck, said Elliot Faust, a police department spokesman.
The motorist who hit the woman stopped at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation, police said.
