We're in Week 17 of regular season football and it has still been a pretty tricky task to determine which tight end will pop off and land a huge haul in fantasy football each week. Before the start of the season, fantasy studs like Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews and even Dalton Kincaid were tipped for big things. Instead, we've seen the likes of Jonnu Smith emerge as viable options given the inconsistency at the position.
With interesting games in Week 17, two tight ends are primed to make the most of their opportunities - Cleveland Browns' David Njoku and Minnesota Vikings veteran T.J. Hockenson.
Here's everything you need to know about their fantasy matchups for the week.

David Njoku's fantasy projection for Week 17
There have been a few bright spots in this Cleveland Browns offense despite everything that has transpired. We still don't know if the franchise sees Jameis Winston or Dorian Thompson-Robinson as the backup QB of the future while Deshaun Watson's future is also a little murky.
In the middle of all of that, David Njoku has remained consistently impressive. He saw 10 targets last week, hauling in eight of them for 66 yards with one reception going for 29 yards, his longest of the day.
Even when DTR was under center for four games last year, Njoku was his preferred target so there's clearly some chemistry there. The problem is Njoku popped up on the injury report this week and was a DNP on Thursday, throwing his availability into major doubt.
T.J. Hockenson's fantasy projection for Week 17
When you have Justin Jefferson in your offense, it's difficult to carve out a space for yourself. That much came to the fore last week as Hockenson had to settle for a quiet evening against Seattle.
He ended the game catching two of his five targets for 27 yards as Sam Darnold preferred to sling it to Jefferson and Jordan Addison instead. While Hockenson is fit, it's difficult to see him feature heavily in this offense for the rest of the regular season.
Having three pass catchers feature heavily in your offense can be tricky even if it's a mind as equipped to make that happen as Kevin O'Connell.
Our free Start/Sit tool projects a win for Njoku in this matchup with a projected points total of 9.6 points as compared to Hockenson's 8.4.
