Most in the Grand Theft Auto fanbase are eagerly waiting for GTA 6 trailer 2, but Rockstar Games still hasn't said a word about it. Several fan theories predicting its release had been formed off late, but none have proved correct so far. Interestingly, some hoped for a possible announcement today (December 20, 2024), likely due to another fan theory, and while Rockstar did post something on X, it was about GTA Online.
Needless to say, this disappointed quite a few fans. For instance, @billsyliamgta doesn't seem hopeful about getting the second trailer this year anymore. They stated:
"Chat this seals the deal. Trailer 2 is next year"
@GTABase also seems to believe now that GTA 6 trailer 2 might not be released this year.

Another fan account, @GTA6Plus, expressed their disappointment by commenting that this wasn't a GTA 6 trailer.
Well-known Grand Theft Auto YouTuber, TGG, commented on this GTA Online Christmas Update 2024 post too, stating this:

This Christmas Update kicked off with the December 19, 2024 GTA Online weekly update, introducing various holiday-themed events that will be available through January 1, 2025.
GTA 6 fans disappointed with Rockstar's recent GTA Online post on X
Rockstar Games has been quite secretive about its upcoming title - Grand Theft Auto 6. The developer has only let out a single trailer so far, but it has now been over a year since then. Fans had expected to see at least screenshots, if not a new trailer by now, but there is no sign of when something new will be showcased.
Having said that, its current release window is Fall 2025, as announced by Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company. So, if there is to be a GTA 6 trailer 2, it should be released in the near future. In the meantime, Grand Theft Auto fans can stay engaged in GTA Online.
Not only is its Christmas Update live at the moment (and through January 1, 2025) but its recently released Agents of Sabotage DLC has added fresh content as well. These include a new business with four heist-like missions, new cars, including a few cop cars like the Invetero Coquette D10 Pursuit, and more. Data miners have reportedly discovered unreleased content in the DLC's files too, so more might come to the game.
