This duchess went into mom mode. Kate Middleton stopped Princess Charlotte from sticking her tongue out, and the video is priceless. The moment happened on Thursday, Aug. 8, at the King’s Cup Regatta, a charity sailing match in which the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge competed in, on the Isle of Wight. After the competition ended (which Middleton lost, by the way) and the winners were about to be awarded, Middleton took her two kids, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, to a window to watch the ceremony.
But instead of waving to the crowd below, Princess Charlotte did what kids do: She stuck her tongue out at photographers and guests — and Middleton quickly went into mom mode to stop her. Video of the moment shows Middleton pulling Princess Charlotte away from the video after she stuck her tongue out at the crowd. The video also shows the crowd erupting into laughter as they watch the moment unfold.
WATCH: Cheeky Charlotte! This is a bit dark, but Kate just brought George and Charlotte to wave to the crowd from the window above the prizegiving stage. She poked her tongue out instead!! pic.twitter.com/0IwMChG6Jm

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Princess Charlotte has stuck out her tongue at photographers. As reported by People, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter also stuck out her tongue at her uncle Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in May 2018. Photo of the moment shows little Charlotte sticking out her tongue from a car window, as her family drove past a hoard of photographers.
And seems like the young princess gets her silly genes from her uncle Prince Harry, who also had a habit of sticking out his tongue at photographers. One example was in 1988 when Prince Harry made a silly face from his car window as he and his brother visited his cousin Princess Beatrice in the hospital. (See the photos here.)
If Princess Charlotte grow up to be anything like the trickster Harry is, we’re so excited to see it.
