Fyp Feasibility Study: 1.1. Types of Feasibilty Study
As name suggests feasibility study is the feasibility analysis or it is a measure of the software
product in terms of how much beneficial product development will be for the organization in
a practical point of view.
Feasibility study is carried out based on many purposes to analyze whether software product
will be right in terms of development, implantation, contribution of project to the
organization etc. Feasibility study is so important stage of Software Project Management
Process as after completion of feasibility study it gives a conclusion of whether to go ahead
with proposed project as it is practically feasible or to stop proposed project here as it is not
right/feasible to develop or to think/analyze about proposed project again.
PROCESS:
1. Information Assessment.
2. Information Collection.
3. Report Writing.
4. General Information.
1. Technical Feasibility.
2. Operational Feasibility.
3. Economic Feasibility.
4. Legal Feasibility.
5. Schedule Feasibility.
Along with this, feasibility study also analyzes technical skills and capabilities of technical
team, existing technology can be used or not, maintenance and upgradation is easy or not for
chosen technology etc.
OUR SCENARIO:
The project is not too long or too short, but of a moderate length. Some modules will take
some time to develop and some are simple and easy to develop.
Technologies and resources are feasible with the system development. Our technical team of
developers is also capable of developing this system. Modern, known and feasible
technologies are chosen for development.
Overall, the project is feasible regarding technology and skills. It deals with the effect of the
system on the current society within the education industry.
Along with this other operational scopes are determining usability of product, determining
suggested solution by system development team, is acceptable or not etc.
OUR SCENARIO:
To ensure success of our system, desired operational outcomes are imparted during design.
The operational features’ parameters are considered at the early stages of design where
desired operational behavior is realized.
The project solutions are found reliable and adaptable therefore making it operationally
feasible. Every aspect of the system is studied thoroughly. The features and functions are
taken in count properly and it is considered that all the present functions in our system will be
totally operational and will be operated easily.
Now comes the Economic Feasibility of our project. The total cost of completing this project
is analyzed and it includes the development cost, the domain name cost, the hosting cost, and
the hired tutor's salaries (in case of live courses).
The nature of our project suggests that these costs will be recovered very quickly and we will
start receiving profit in less time. The website is found economically feasible and no
possibility of it outliving its usefulness in the near future.
OUR SCENARIO:
Our project went through this stage successfully and the app is found feasible in terms of
legal implementation. The project is fulfilling the legal and ethical requirements.
OUR SCENARIO:
The completion time of our website is very economical and feasible. We have 4 months of
time to submit our FYP. For us it is a suitable time to complete such a website considering
both the front-end and the back-end as it holds equal importance in any application, the front-
end part of the website takes lesser time as compared to the back-end one, which means our
front-end would be finished in about a month or so, giving us enough time (3 months or so)
to complete the back-end part of our project.
