I. OBJECTIVES

A. CONTENT STANDARD
Recognizes the musical symbols and demonstrates understanding of concepts pertaining to melody.

B. PERFORMANCE STANDARD
Analyzes melodic movement and range and be able to create and perform simple melodies.

C. LEARNING COMPETENCY
Identifying the Movement of the Melody as: - no movement - ascending stepwise - descending stepwise -
ascending skip wise - descending skip wise. (MU4ME-IId-4)

D. LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Given pictures to study and a song to listen to, the Grade IV pupils should be able to perform the following
with 80% proficiency:

1. Define melodic direction;

2. Identify melodic direction in a song;
3. Give examples of melodic direction;
4. Perform and sing a song with melodic direction; and
5. Listen with understanding.
