One week into the high school football season and there is a new No. 1 team in San Diego.
Mission Hills, with a 38-26 win over Los Angeles Crenshaw, is the No. 1 team this week.
Helix, the preseason No. 1 team, lost to Arizona Scottsdale last week and fell to No. 3.
Mission Hills received 20 of the 24 first-place votes while Helix received two.
St. Augustine, which beat Ramona 41-3, moved up two spots to No. 2. The Saints received one first-place vote.
Madison, a 44-7 winner over El Capitan last week, jumped two spots to No. 4.
Oceanside, which beat San Marcos 28-10, remained at No. 5, but got a first-place vote.
Torrey Pines, a 28-7 winner over Steele Canyon, moved up three spots to No. 6.
Cathedral Catholic, which lost 40-14 to Santa Margarita. fell four places to No. 7.
Rancho Bernardo, a 32-6 winner over San Pasqual, moved into the Top 10 at No. 8.
Christian, a 38-21 winner over Brawley, also moved into the Top 10 at No. 9.
The No. 10 team is Eastlake, a 14-13 loser to La Serna. The Titans were ranked No. 7 in the preseason.
Carlsbad, a 30-12 loser to Phoenix Brophy Prep, fell out of the Top 10.
