Scenario mapping to navigate shifting political risks

Ahead of an investment in South Africa, a UK-based financial services firm approached S-RM to analyse political risk in their new market. With elections around the corner, and concerns over the country’s foreign policy posture toward Russia, we developed a tailored assessment embedded in a bespoke scenario mapping exercise to assess the current and emergent political risk factors in the country. Our scenarios were designed to help our client in anticipating the development of a specific path unfolding, alongside ‘signals’ of a pending future and its associated political risk(s) relative to their investment.

A leading technology company tasked S-RM with the design and delivery of a tailored threat assessment alongside regular threat monitoring.
