Teenage Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) was educated in Africa by her scientist parents. When her family moves to the suburbs of Illinois, Cady finally gets to experience public school and gets a quick primer on the cruel, tacit laws of popularity that divide her fellow students into tightly knit cliques. An excellent comedy that is known to the world as an iconic classic with references galore. For a first timer, I thought it was only slightly underwhelming, but still had an engaging narrative while being completely and utterly hilarious in jarring, shocking ways with an all-star cast. With Rachel McAdams, Lindsay Lohan, Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, and so, so many more talents, this movie is easily re-watchable and easily holds its reputation as an iconic comedy.

this movie is iconic. I love how Rachel McAdams is nothing like her character, Regina George. I loved Karen Smith too, she's pretty much just clueless. That's why I love her. Anyways, even though this movie is overrated, I can still watch this multiple times without getting tired of it.

Funny, cheesy and a story that has substance regarding high school life and the presentation of how one tries to adapt from a completely different background. Certain parts resonate such as being bullied for being different or forcing to blend with specific groups just to get them to like you. It was refreshing seeing the actresses I was familiar with at this time because the acting seemed so pure and true to the story, which is not really shown in many of today's films. The romance storyline was not overboard, but the pranks and the havoc caused by it was a bit far stretched.
