Critics Consensus

Director Gulager makes the most of what he's given; the resulting Feast offers up some surprisingly tasty -- if far from nourishing -- morsels.

Richard James Havis Hollywood Reporter It works as a funny and slicker-than-expected parody of the genre. Oct 2, 2006 Full Review Boston Globe The first two "Project Greenlight" films got only brief local runs. Feast isn't likely to do much better. Rated: 1/4 Sep 30, 2006 Full Review Michael Esposito Chicago Tribune When monsters attack, the camera gets all jerky, creating the horror effect known as motion sickness. Rated: 2/4 Sep 23, 2006 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Even though the film knows it's a cheesy monster movie, that fact is not quite enough to transcend its scripting and construction as such. Rated: 6/10 Sep 29, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com May very well prove appetizing for those who enjoy Troma type flicks. Jeff S Don’t get caught up in the “I only watch Oscar-Worthy films”. This is not that. It is not meant to be that. It is a simple movie made to create hilarity in its ridiculousness. Watch the movie for entertainment; not enlightenment. 4/5 because I found myself cracking up quite more than I thought I would. Delivery from some of the actors could have been better but hey, it’s low budget. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Jules N Bonne comédie horrifique. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review acsdoug D I watched this because I saw Alice Cooper recommend it in an interview. As much as I admire The Coop I can't go that far. The story is okay, my main beef is that there are so many jump cuts and shaky hand held camera shots it's hard to tell what's going on. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/19/23 Full Review NONBELIEVER This is what a great horror/gore comedy should look like! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Chris K I loved this movie first time I saw it and it's only gotten better since. Of course it's great, it has a couple of not as good sequels. Clever story with clever actors (Henry Rollins, Jason Mewes) and clever characters who aren't one dimensional famous faces but who've been identified and fleshed out within the first seconds you meet them (seriously). A clinic in filmmaking on a cheap budget. Highly Recommend if you enjoy those films that rely on a tight setting contained to one locale. It's like ‘A Cabin in The Woods' if the woods were on some outskirts of a dusty desert town, and the cabin was a West Texas Bar. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Caiden M Don't expect a masterpiece but expect one hell of a funny entertaining and gory ride for 90 minutes Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/23 Full Review Read all reviews
