Jonathan Romney Independent on Sunday If there's anything worse than a film with no point, it's one that's all point and nothing but. Feb 28, 2018 Full Review Anthony Quinn Independent (UK) Instead of heartwarming messages about forgiveness, it honours ambiguity and brings us close, closer than is comfortable, in fact, to what Americans today are really thinking about one another. Feb 23, 2015 Full Review Stanley Kauffmann The New Republic [Crash] is familiar enough that it slips easily into our film-watching faculty without any fuss, yet [Haggis'] handling of it -- his muscular belief in what he is doing -- makes us hope that his next screenplay will be a bit less safe. Feb 23, 2015 Full Review Mark Johnson Awards Daily Crash is a bit too on the nose as it addresses racial tensions without much subtlety. The score, cinematography, and acting are all pretty outstanding, but it isn’t enough to save the tone-deaf Crash from feeling extremely contrived and overbearing. Jun 27, 2023 Full Review Cody Dericks Next Best Picture Hampered by unrealistic dialogue and unpleasant characters, it delivers its portrayal of a world that needs changing in the most aggressive and obvious way possible. Rated: 4/10 Jun 29, 2022 Full Review Joanne Laurier World Socialist Web Site The overall feeling is that the project is adamant about absolving the social system of blame. Faiz D A very powerful, thoughtful, and complex movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Courtney L I lost it at the cloak. Cried like a baby. Never knew this movie existed. It’s 2024 and we all pretend like the plots and messages don’t exist today but they definitely do. I appreciate the honesty of the characters and there’s no guessing on what every character thinks/motives throughout the film. One message, you never know about other people struggles but you eventually find your way through your own, in knowing others. Truly inspiring and beautiful. I only clicked on it for Terrance too. Pure genius. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/24/24 Full Review Bhavesh V Extremely real depiction of the U.S. It still holds up in 2024. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Jordan B This movie is terrible and anyone saying otherwise is being pretentious or just trying to go against the grain. How this is sitting at an 88% is insane. Worst best picture winner for 30 years. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/07/24 Full Review Narciso R WOW, pretty much throughout this movie. Fantastic cast, very believable characters. NRJ.
