Aseem Batra is an actor, television writer and producer of Indian descent. She was born in Ohio, grew up in Georgia, and moved to Orange Country, California, when she was 12. She's best known for her work on the comedic television series "Scrubs," for which she both wrote and acted in several episodes between 2006 and 2009. In 2009 she was awarded the Humanitas Prize for her "Scrubs" episode entitled "My Last Words," which she wrote and co-starred in as the medical student Josephine. As "Scrubs" wound down, 2009 would be the year she would move into her new role as co-producer, writer, and voice talent on the animated "Family Guy" spinoff, "The Cleveland Show."
