Everyone Hates the Clippers’ New Mascot, Chuck the Condor
On a night when their multibillionaire owner dunked using a trampoline, the most ridiculous thing to happen to the Los Angeles Clippers was still their new mascot.
At halftime of Monday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the Clips officially introduced Chuck the Condor – a cape-wearing, basketball-stuffing bird – to the world. And let’s just say the world wasn’t ready. After a fiery speech from owner Steve Ballmer (his specialty), Chuck was lowered from the rafters of Staples Center and right into infamy. Not even Ballmer’s subsequent trampoline-assisted slam – or a voucher for a free pair of sneakers – was enough to keep the cuddly California Condor from incurring the wrath of Clippers Nation, which probably wished Chuck would join his real-life counterpart on the critically endangered species list.
Simply put, people fucking hated this bird. Here, let us show you:
@ChuckTheCondor I hate you.

But perhaps no one was more heated than rapper Vince Staples, a long-suffering Clippers fan who vented his frustrations in a series of increasingly unhinged tweets.
SOMEBODY OWE ME A FADE YOU GUYS GOT THE GAME FUCKED UP @LAClippers pic.twitter.com/FQ9a2zI6OJ

It could be worse, Vince. Your mascot could be Ben Franklin running point. Actually, just kidding – there’s nothing worse than Chuck.
