Taking Design Intelligence Award (DIA) as example, this study conducted a quantitative research to explore the participants’ main value identification points and their primary motivation for participating in DIA. Firstly, we conducted preliminary research through a pre-survey questionnaire, proposed research hypothesis and combined the results of the pre-survey questionnaire to improve the formal questionnaire. Secondly, the research hypothesis was verified through quantitative analysis of the formal questionnaire. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are presented: (1) DIA can deepen the main value of the awards to attract the participation of mature elite designers and expand the professional influence of DIA widely. (2) DIA should explore the characteristics of the Academic Award to expand the potential influence of DIA in design talent training. (3) DIA should promote the linkage of industrial resources to enhance the transformation and upgrading of modern industry.
