Sega has released a free update and some paid DLC today for its World War II strategy game Company of Heroes 2.
Southern Front DLC and free maps arrive for Company of Heroes 2
Players of the game, set on the Eastern Front conflict between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, will receive two free maps, Hill 331 and Don River, as well as a new ability to upload community created maps in the World Builder via Steam’s Workshop.
A paid content pack called Southern Front has also been launched, costing $4.99. Based on a Soviet counter-offensive in the spring of 1943, it features challenges and battles around the city of Kharkov.
“These brand new updates show our ongoing commitment to providing the community with regular additions of free and premium downloadable content,” said Greg Wilson, from developer Relic Entertainment. “We are also very excited that we were able to deliver the Steam Workshop maps integration for the World Builder before the end of the year as it will become a vital part of providing our community with the ability to create their own content.”
