Mia Camille McCarthy is POLITICO’s state congressional correspondent, covering state delegations on Capitol Hill for the California, New York, Florida and New Jersey teams. She is also a contributor for Massachusetts Playbook.

Mia joined POLITICO in 2023 as a fellow. Before that, she worked for the Boston Globe, Boston.com, and Bloomberg Government. Mia also covered the Massachusetts statehouse for the Patriot Ledger and Boston city hall for the Dorchester Reporter.

Mia is originally from Boston and graduated from Boston University with degrees in journalism and international relations.
