How has your week been? mine has been exhausting! Coming back to the routine after 3 weeks vacation has been so hard. Especially restarting my gym workout which has left me with sore muscles and aches for days. Other than that I've been procrastinating ironing the 6 loads of laundry I did on Monday, lol. So this evening I'd probably catch up with that while watching some TV, yay exciting plan for a Friday evening! LOL
Let's talk about nail art now! "When Colors Collide" nail art challenge this week prompted us to create manicures in "blue, pink and purple" and only these colours. As I'm already longing for Spring, I came up with a pretty soft design and I hope you like it!
These nails that look pretty simple (or plain) take several steps to create, because they combine three different techniques: Sponged gradient, Stamping and french manicure with an accent nail.
Here are the steps I followed:
1) I created a gradient on my nails using a sponge and two colours: light blue and pink. I did this on four of my nails, while I painted my ring fingernail solid blue. This would be the base for my manicure.
2) Once my base dried completely, I stamped a rose image using a purple polish on my middle and on my thumb. On my accent nail (blue nail) I stamped a zigzag pattern.
3) I sealed the stamping with clear topcoat and let it dry.
4) I painted a very thin French tip with purple on all my nails with a thin nail art brush.
5) I sealed my design with clear topcoat and tadaaa!
