Griquas wary of wounded Province─── MORGAN PIEK 07:25 Fri, 03 Jun 2022
The weekend’s Currie Cup action kicks off in Stellenbosch on Friday afternoon when Western Province tackle the Griquas.
The Griquas will be targeting a second consecutive season double over Province and more importantly they can potentially secure their place in the semi-finals this weekend.
For this to happen, the Griquas need to beat Province, while the Cheetahs neat a win against the Pumas and the Lions my topple the Sharks.
The Griquas go into the game with continuity after making just one change to their starting XV.
Griquas coach, Pieter Bergh, told OFM Sport that their opponents come at them with pride.
“They can't qualify for the semi-finals anymore, which makes them dangerous because there is no pressure on them.
“They might try one of two things which they might not try if it's a must-win game. So, we've got to be ready for a Province them that are going to be playing for pride.”
This game at the Danie Craven Stadium kicks off at 16:00.
