I used the NEMA 14-50 plug to make it easier to setup. The power supply chord to the 14-50 is way fatter than needed or is used on any other 240v / 40a application. Also a foot longer power supply cord would have been appreciated. Once attached to the wall and plugged in, it is very good. 40a is faster than the 32a mobile connector than I have used previously on my Tesla Model S. Since I get all the data I need directly from the Tesla, I have not even connected the Emporia to the wifi. I did not attach the NACS holder, and simply wind & drape the NACS cable around the Emporia. Good choice.

Already had an outdoor 50 amp Rv plug so using this to level 2 charge model y at 40 amps/9kw per hour. Nice craftsmanship and fully integrates with Tesla app. Ony thing would improve is make the plug length longer from the unit to the plug in spot.
