Assistant referee Rob Smith was discharged from hospital on Wednesday after a medical incident at West Bromwich Albion’s Championship clash against Middlesbrough.
The incident, which occurred early in the first half of Tuesday night’s match at the Hawthorns, led to an eight-minute delay in the match and Smith was carried from the pitch on a stretcher.
After taking unwell at the match, Smith was taken to hospital and underwent tests, before being discharged on Wednesday morning.
