A lone gunman opened fire outside a Brooklyn deli Wednesday as three men were shooting a rap video —wounding two of the performers, one of them critically, police said.
The attack erupted outside Park Place Deli in Crown Heights on the corner of Classon Ave. and Park Place around 3:23 p.m. Cops found a 31-year-old victim with a bullet wound to the head and a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
The gunman stormed down the block on Park Place firing off four rounds before fleeing. It was unknown what sparked the violence but police believe the victims were part of a rap group.
“It’s a group that goes around shooting vlogs,” a police source told the Daily News. “They’re older guys. ‘Bodegaflows’ on Instagram.”
EMS rushed both victims to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where the younger victim was in critical condition. The other victim was in stable condition, police said.
At the scene of the shooting — across the street from PS 316 Elijah Stroud Elementary School — an abandoned microphone was left on the sidewalk next to a pool of blood.
“They shooting videos all the time, this time it got crazy,” a deli worker told The News.
There were no immediate arrests.
“They were shooting a rap video,” a 70-year-old woman, who did not give her name and lives across the street from the deli, told The News. “There was one guy on the mic and two guys dancing behind him then there were shots. He was face up on the ground over there, bleeding.”
“Right before school starts and to make it so bad, there’s a school right there. It’s crazy out here. You can’t even go outside,” she said.
