Information for new international students
Orientation Week
Find out how to join the Orientation Week for new international students, which will introduce you to NTNU and Trondheim. You will also find information on how to get to and from the airport, public transportation, campus maps, and other things that are good to know when you are new in town.
Student activities
Trondheim is well known as a top location for students and academics, and the city is regularly rated as the best student town in Norway. Out of the total population of 190 000, 36 000 are university students who leave their mark on the city. Whether you want vibrant city life or a lighted ski trail – Trondheim has it all!
Special Needs facilitation
NTNU can offer a multitude of facilitations for students with special needs.
Please note that some support services have deadlines.
Housing
The Unit for International Relations coordinates the allocation of Sit housing to exchange students and international master's students. Normally, most students are allocated student housing in the spring semester.
Practical information
After you have received admission to NTNU, you will be provided with detailed information regarding visas, housing and so on. However, we have also provided you with practical information that it might be useful to consider at the time of applying; such as living expenses, part-time work, visas and student welfare services.
