If the New York Yankees want to trade for breakout ace Garrett Crochet, they — or any other team — will likely have to open up their checkbook.

That’s because the Chicago White Sox starting pitcher seeks a contract extension before he pitches in the playoffs, according to reports from The New York Post’s Jon Heyman and The Athletic.
