Travis Kelce Dishes on Julia Roberts After 'Gross' Backlash

Travis Kelce revealed details about an interaction with Julia Roberts after meeting her at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour show in Dublin over the weekend.

During the latest episode of his New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end gushed over the Oscar winner.

"Dude, you just took a photo with Julia Roberts," Jason said, which prompted Travis to laugh out loud.

"Yeah I met Julia Roberts in Ireland, in Dublin," he told listeners on Wednesday, before repeating "Ireland" with an Irish accent. "That was pretty cool, she was awesome."

"Her and Stevie Nicks were in there having some fun," Travis said, seemingly referring to the VIP section of Aviva Stadium.

"Gosh! Stevie Nicks?" Jason replied.

"You might be the only one in the family that hasn't met her yet," Jason said. "Mom got to meet her down in Florida, and she is, I mean, every bit as what everyone makes her out to be. She's just so awesome. Just so awesome. And just love to see her support and just meet her."

When it comes to meeting celebrities, Travis laughed at where life has taken him.

"Some of these people you just meet and you're just like, 'I don't know what I'm doing here.' You are unbelievable, your talent is unbelievable, how you present yourself is unbelievable and I am just a jamoke supporting his girlfriend, and it's just so much fun."

According to Merriam-Webster, a "jamoke" is "an ordinary, unimpressive, or inept person—typically used as a term of mild or joking disparagement for a man."

Earlier this week, Nikki Glaser's parents made headlines when she shared a video of them reacting to Travis' interaction with Roberts.

"She's so gross," Julie Glaser said in an Instagram Story shared on July 1, which prompted the comedian to ask, "Isn't that a little much?"

"It's weird, what is that? She's itching his chest, why?" Julie asked.

Nikki said Roberts "wanted to get in there," before Julie showed the clip to her husband, Edward Glaser.

"He's trying to get away from her," Edward observed of the meeting.

Julie later apologized for her words about the actress.

"I probably should have said something different than the word 'gross'," Julie said via Nikki's Instagram Story on July 2. "I don't know, it's a weird word too. It's not a nice word, I didn't realize."

In a separate story, Julie added: "Listen, Julia Roberts, she's a good actress, but she's a terrible flirt."

On July 1, Dublin's Hacienda Bar shared a message to Swift and Travis.

"Great to welcome Taylor Swift with all her musicians and dancers to the Hacienda last night," they posted on Facebook. "Special to also welcome Superbowl champion Travis Kelce, the legendary Stevie Nicks and Paramore. It was such a warm and genuinely friendly night, we did not request our 'usual' Hacienda photo so as to allow Taylor and friends the chance to properly relax and enjoy their well-deserved time off."

Swift is currently on the European leg of her Eras Tour—with Paramore as her opening act. Later this week, the singer will perform in Amsterdam at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
