Division I expects its member schools to conduct their athletics programs with integrity and in compliance with conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
 
It is the sole responsibility of each member school to conduct its intercollegiate athletics program in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Association. It is also the responsibility of each member school to report all breaches of conduct established by Association bylaws in a timely and cooperative manner. Upon a conclusion that one or more violations occurred, a school shall be subject to disciplinary and corrective actions deemed suitable by the Association on behalf of the entire membership.
