Jackson, a 6-foot-2 guard who was a key factor off the bench for the 2023 NBA champion Nuggets, averaged 10.2 points and 3.8 assists during the 2023-24 season in Denver. The 13-year veteran played in all 82 games and stepped into the starting lineup for 23 games for injured starter Jamal Murray.
Denver, which is bumping up against the second apron and still has Kentavious Caldwell-Pope out there as a pending free agent, gets some significant savings moving off of Jackson’s $5.25 million salary for next season. https://t.co/NsQMlNGXOb

The move brings a seasoned vet to the backcourt in Charlotte, where Hornets star LaMelo Ball continues to recover from an ankle injury that shut him down for the season.
The Hornets also selected forward Tidjane Salaun of France in the lottery with the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
