SALT LAKE CITY — A Jazz team heavy on experience and led by Keyonte George’s 31-point outburst toppled the Philadelphia 76ers 93-85 in a Salt Lake City Summer League battle at Delta Center in Utah on Wednesday evening.

A game that would ultimately classify as a roller-coaster affair started as a tightly contested battle, with the Jazz emerging from the first period with a slim 19-18 lead. However, each team would take turns outscoring the other by 11 points in the middle periods, leading to a one-point contest going into the final quarter. Ultimately, Utah would tighten its defense in the final 1:43, going on a game-ending 8-2 run to gain some solid separation from the 76ers.

Ricky Council IV led the 76ers with 20 points, adding one assist and one steal. Jeff Dowtin Jr. totaled 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and one block. Jaylen Sims poured in 11 points, while David Jones delivered 10 points, four boards, four assists and three steals.

For the Jazz, George complemented his team-high point total with five assists and two rebounds. Taylor Hendricks supplied 18 points, six boards, one assist and three blocks. Brice Sensabaugh furnished 17 points, two rebounds, two assists and one block. Rookie first-round pick Isaiah Collier contributed 12 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

The two teams now shift their play to the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas and will first take the floor there Saturday night, with the 76ers facing the Pistons and the Jazz tangling with the Dallas Mavericks.
