A man was stabbed in North London yesterday evening (July 21). Police raced to Oldhill Street in Stoke Newington at around 7.55pm to reports of a stabbing.
However when they got there there was no victim or suspect. Police learnt a short while later that a 21-year-old took himself to hospital with a stab wound.
He is still in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. There have been no arrests.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 7.55pm on Sunday, July 21, to reports of a stabbing in Oldhill Street, N16. Officers attended but no victim or suspect could be located.
“A short while later police were informed that a 21-year-old man had self-presented at hospital with a stab injury. He remains in hospital receiving treatment – his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“There has been no arrest and enquiries continue. Anyone with information at this early stage is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD 6634/21Jul.”
