Only the Dots Metal are designed to be used as door knobs.

Yes, it is possible to reinstall Dots on another wall. First, you will have to screw off the actual coat hook. This allows you to use the allen key included in the packaging of the Dots to screw out the screw. Please find assembly guides here.
